COHART Report Winter/Spring 2026

COHART has fulfilled a variety of requests from service providers. These include:

  • A woman fleeing abuse needed shelter overnight until something more permanent could be arranged. COHART was contacted by an organization that could help her in the morning and COHART paid for a night in a motel.

  • A man in a wheelchair had no shelter on a freezing night. COHART and two churches contributed to a motel stay.

  • A man living in the TSSA needed phone service for mobile health treatment from Mosaic. COHART and Mosaic combined resources to get him a phone and phone service.

  • A woman living in Central Oregon Villages who works remotely had her computer stolen. COHART found a business that donated a computer to her.

  • A woman living in Central Oregon Villages has back problems and her neurologist prescribed a special mattress pad and pillow. Her insurance would not cover it. COHART bought the pad and pillow for her.

  • A man getting his first apartment in years couldn’t get his power turned on because of old unpaid bills. The bill was over the amount COHART can afford but COHART contacted several organizations and worked with the requester to identify another organization who could help with the bill.
